Doing Quick-Fix At Home

Written on June 7, 2013 – 2:52 pm | by Mommy Rubz |

It was not really easy playing superwoman and maintaining a full time job while making sure that your children gets to school on time every single day. That is why I really respect single woman who seem to easily do these tasks. They are inspiring and really worthy of emulation. If I may say so myself, I think am not doing bad myself. Except probably when there are handy work stuff to be made at home that really requires a man’s attention. I can imagine myself working the elbow grease when it is really necessary but I cannot tell my quick release pins from other nuts and bolts even if my life depends on it. I guess I need to do a bit more of reading to gain more knowledge about this. Anyway, I do not intend to DIY simple electrical or plumbing repair at home, either. I think I will leave that for the experts to tinker on. In the meantime, it sure adds to my peace of mind that I can call my father when the need for these kind of quick fix arise. Otherwise, I will make sure to keep a little extra wad of cash in my wallet to pay for an electrician or a repairman’s fee, if in case I will be needing their services in the future.

Rainy Day Swimming And Electric Heaters

Written on June 6, 2013 – 4:15 pm | by Mommy Rubz |

It might sound crazy, but you really never know when the desire to go for a swim will hit you and given that life is really too short to accumulate regrets in life, you might just have to give in when you suddenly felt the urge to go for a dip in the pool or a swim in the beach even if it is raining. If you can secure your safety to be swimming in the open sea during rainy days then so be it. Make sure to take precautions, too, even when you are indulging in some adventurous pursuits.

A swim in the pool might sound more practical and something I would like to do with my children even on rainy days. Maybe I just have to opt for hotels or resorts that have an electric pool heater installed in their premises so that I know me and my kiddos will not catch cold if we decide to gofor a swim on one lazy weekend afternoon.

Life sure is one great adventure and we create our own adventures. If you think basking in the rain and going for a swim is something that floats your both and you will thoroughly enjoy, then I encourage you to go for it!

Written on May 31, 2013 – 8:33 am | by Mommy Rubz |

In order to keep the water and ice dispenser in a Frigidaire refrigerator clean and pure, it’s best to get the filters from the source: the Frigidaire Puresource water filter at frigidaire-store.com. They have filters for all models, even older refrigerators. They also have a subscription service that provides front-door delivery on the manufacturer’s suggested maintenance schedule. According to the website, all Frigidaire filters should be changed according to the composition of the local water system. The general guidelines to keep the water flowing from your Frigidaire at its most pure are every six months for city water and every three to six months for those with well water. However, if there are particles in the water or it’s discolored, change the filter immediately. The PureSource filters are made especially to work with the Frigidaire brand to keep water and ice pure and free from contaminates such as: * Chlorine * Mercury * Lead * Alachlor * other impurities and toxic metals They carry a number of different filtering systems and other related products and they ship within two days of placing an order. Subscribers get free shipping included in the price. It’s a good idea to change the PureSource filters on the same schedule as air conditioning filters, in the Spring and Fall at the Daylights savings time changes. The online Frigidaire Accessories Store is not only a convenient, one-stop place to get parts and accessories for Frigidaire brand appliances, they also have a great customer service and support center and tips on efficient appliance use and maintenance.
