Scenic Sunday # 2

This was taken last 2008 when I returned to my hometown. This is a snapshot from Cagayan de Oro River from the new bridge installed at Macanhan, Cagayan de Oro City.

I always thought that a river is also scenic. The serenity of it makes it beautiful.

Shaniya Nicole Davis: 5 Year Old Found Dead

Just last week, I can’t get help but cry when I saw another video presentation of Baby P (Peter Connelly). It made my heart break knowing that his own mother abused him and did not do anything to protect him.

Now, I just read about a 5 year old found dead off a road southeast of Sanford, North Carolina. The little girl named Shaniya Nicole Davis was missing since Tuesday last week. According to the authorities, Shaniya was offered for prostitution by her own mother, Antoinette Davis, 25. Her mother has been charged. She will be facing the courts soon to answer the cases on human trafficking and felony to child abuse.

All these stories make me cry. I am a mother myself to three beautiful children and I could not imagine doing such horror to them. Mothers should be the ambassadors of love, care, patience and understanding not of abuse, neglect and harassment. It is just so sad that these children died in the hands of those people who are expected to love them.

Theme Hunting is Finally Over

When I was searching for some pictures in my hard disk drive, I was lucky to bump the theme that I was looking for. I have finally found the old theme of this blog, Blue Designwork by Simply WP. I just edited the headers of this blog just to personalize the effect. Thank God, theme hunting is over!

Anyway, I still need to bring back all the widgets and plugins that I have installed before so that I could bring back the old beauty of this blog. So stay tuned!

Scenic Sunday # 1

This is my first entry to Scenic Sunday at this blog. This picture was taken last October 31, 2009 as our family spent time swimming at Palmas del Mar Hotel and Beach Resort here in Bacolod City.
