Last week, I went to the grocery to buy some stuff for our pantry. After placing everything I bought in the pantry, I realized that there’s still a considerable amount of bare space. So I am planning to go back to the grocery this week to do another round of shopping. Not much, though, just enough to fill the bare spaces.
My only wish is that I wouldn’t have to stand in the checkout line for what seems like eternity this time around. When I shopped for groceries last week it took the cashier forever to check out all the items I bought because she entered all the barcodes manually. She told me their barcode scanner wasn’t working.
I found her excuse odd because they were a big company with branches all over the country. Maybe they were still in the process of changing their scanners and the cashier I transacted with hasn’t been issued her usb barcode scanner yet.
I have always wanted to be a teacher. It was actually my childhood dream. But then in college I took up civil engineering. Why? I guess my dream and aspiration changed through the years. However it doesn’t mean that I have totally let go of my dream to teach. I actually take advantage of the opportunity to teach whenever it presents itself.
For instance, I try to teach my kids their lessons in school. I also try to guide those who are new in the world of blogging since I have somehow gained some head knowledge through all the years that I have been blogger. Hence, I have asked myself more than once, “Is it too late for me to get a teaching degree online or otherwise?”
Most universities now have what they call open universities where courses are being offered through their university websites. Maybe I can inquire and see if there’s something in it for me. What do you think?
While we were making preparations for our move back to CDO, my husband and I heavily relied on two all-important tools to help us pack – packing tape and a utility knife. We had to seal off some boxes that would be loaded to the cargo vehicle to secure some of our stuff.
I found the knife to be particularly helpful because it wasn’t only good for cutting off portions of the tape but it was also efficient with the ropes as well as many other things. I have since decided that I will always carry it around in my purse. After all, I’ll never know when it may come in handy.
I can’t believe how something as small as that would prove to be very efficient. I’m just sharing it with you because you may find yourself needing the services of such a knife in the long run. I am telling you know that it’s a great tool. You should have one but of course, keep it out of children’s reach.
