Of all the gemstones, pearl is the only gem that is produced by a living creature. While nature and time is critical in the process of producing a sparkling jewel, an oyster is important to produce a pearl. Of all the oysters, only a certain variety of salt and fresh water oysters can produce pearls of high market value. Of the known pearl-making oysters, not all are able to produce pearls in their natural environment. In about three tons of oysters believed to be producers of high quality pearls, there will only be less than five pearls that will be of any value to a jeweller. Now that the delicate art of pearl cultivation had been successfully fine crafted, this gem is being delivered to the world market in volumes. This is how my pearl bracelet became available to me.

If you are corresponding with friends or loved ones via snail mail, you know what a joy it is to receive cards, postcards and letters in your mailbox!

While it is true that everything nowadays is done in the internet via social networking sites and emails, there is nothing that compares to holding an actual letter or card, don’t you agree?

But sometimes we don’t notice that our mailboxes are so worn out, or its numbers are not that clear anymore. There are many instances where the postmen did not recognize the numbers written in postboxes, the reason why mails were not delivered on time. Mailbox plaques are great ideas, because they are super durable and the numbers are written very legibly—your mailman could not miss it!

Teaching English in Asia

Teaching English in many Asian countries such as Thailand, Korea and Japan have been very popular in the last decade or two. These countries prefer native English speakers to teach them, but not so many people can be so interested to live in a country outside their own.

So these countries have taken in Indians and Filipinos to teach them the English instead. Although not native English speakers, Indians and Filipinos have been found out to be excellent teachers and some could even be at par with their native English speaker counterparts.

With the advent of the internet, people can now get an Online English degree so more and more Asians find this teaching the English language to countries that need it a huge opportunity to earn more.

People collect different sorts of things. Some adults might have been so deprived of having a good collection of dolls and toys as children so they still collect those, while others are still so fond of collecting stickers and stationery.

What you collect is dependent on your budget of course! So mugs, stamps and postcards are common items to collect. On the other hand, super rich people could afford to collect vintage cars if they want to! Some are happy with coins. There are not a lot of good coins these days, so collectors go to internet sites to buy and add to their collection.

In the past, we only had books. Now we have e-books. But instead of physically carrying volumes and volumes, you can save many volumes (depending on the memory size) in e-book readers and you can just conveniently carry one unit wherever you go.

While you can just access and read e-books on your laptop or desktop computer, it can be hard because of the position and well, because of inconvenience.

If you are an avid reader and you would like to finish many e-books, especially textbooks, then it is best to invest in a good quality e-book reader. There are many kinds available and are reasonably priced.

Summer is Coming!

Four season countries might still be contending with the cold weather. Some are probably even experiencing the height of winter at this time.

But in tropical countries, we are already ushering summer! Now it is time to take out board shorts, swimsuits, Costa Del Mar Sunglasses, sunscreen, and other swimming paraphernalia for jaunts at the beach or the pool.

Even though it is almost summer all year round in the tropics, there is so much hype during the summer months because there is no school. So you can really expect that young people would want to make the most of their break.

Children are Treasures

Babies are indeed blessings. Having three kids has definitely changed my life for the better. It is hard to imagine not having them in the family – they bring so much joy! Of course they are not perfect children and have, at one point, have challenged my temper but in the end I am still grateful to have them.

Here in the Philippines, gifts from godparents during Christmas are a big deal. Now the kids are enjoying gifts from their godparents, both from here and outside the country. Some of them sent baby arrival gifts when the kids were born. I could not thank God enough for giving me very thoughtful friends who love and care for my kids! Despite the calamity that hit our city, this Christmas is still merry for us.

Joining Kids in Doodles!

This is my first time to join Kids in Doodles. I wanted to join this before but I got so busy that I always forget to do so. Today, I decided to join and am now hoping that I could be active in this meme. What I like about this meme is for me to document all the momentous time my kids and I have. I want to remember especially now that they are growing big so fast!!

Anyway, since this is my first entry, let me introduce to you my three lovely children (especially to those who are not family with me and my kids). This photo was taken in Manila last November 23 during our visit at Star City. My eldest is Micah Izabel, my only boy is Johann David and my youngest is Bella Grace. This was our first time in Star City, so the kids and even we adults had a grand time!!

Finding The Right Job

There is nothing worse for a worker than being a square peg in a round hole. Most cope due to lack of opportunities for the chosen career. Some are not just looking hard enough and for others, the opportunities weigh less than what they will be giving up if they decided to take the opportunity like having to leave the family behind because of the distance is across the other side of the globe.

As an example how many Healthcare Specialists Jobs are available in your area? If that is your specialty and opportunities are far from your area, why not bring your family with you instead? If you have the right job, you will always be happy working.

Motorhome Insurance

When you live in a motorhome, be sure that you get a motorhome insurance. A motorhome is more difficult to manage than a car which you do not use as a home. You give a motorhome more push since it is meant to be anyway. You go from place to place without worrying what you leave behind. Like any other vehicle, though, it also has its natural wear and tear. One day it will give up on you. You should be ready when that happens because it just might happen when you are in the middle of nowhere and you cannot even move a bit.
